Resistencia Sounding Data [NCAR/EOL]

Summary

This dataset consists of atmospheric profiles derived from rawinsondes released from Resistencia, Argentina during the South American Low-Level Jet Experiment (SALLJEX) field phase, from 15 November 2002 thru 15 February 2003. Rawinsondes were typically released once per day at 06 UTC. The data files contain vertical profiles of pressure, temperature, dew point, relative humidity, and wind speed and direction measured every two seconds during rawinsonde ascent. The Joint Office of Science Support (JOSS) performed some quality control on this dataset. Consult the README for more information.

SALLJEX was funded by NOAA/OGP, NSF(ATM0106776) and funding agencies from Brazil FAPESP Grant 01/13816-1) and Argentina (ANPCYT PICT 07-06671, UBACyT 055).
