HARP1990 project description
Hawaiian Rainband Experiment
Summary
The Hawaiian Rainband Project (HaRP), conducted in July and August of 1990, used aircraft, radar, surface, and upper-air measurements to investigate the formation and dynamical and microphysical structure of rainbands offshore of the Big Island. One goal of HaRP was to study the warm rain process by relating the microphysical evolution of these rainbands to their dynamical structure.
