Low-level Jet Experiment
Summary
In JETEX-97, the PIs seek to improve the ability of the NCAR/Pennsylvania State University MM5 mesoscale model to replicate the low level jet. Dennis Ojima of Colorado State University will be conducting runs using the CENTURY model to assess ecosystem controls on water, carbon, and other trace gases into the atmosphere, using historical data from the CASES area, and CASES-97 data, in preparation for more ambitious measurements later on.
