COMET Case Study Library

COMET is developing a Case Study Library with laboratory exercises, to facilitate research and education among the NWS SOO's and the university community.

CODIAC system

The COMET case study data are available through the CODIAC system. The CODIAC System is a data management system with a World Wide Web (WWW) based interface. Through the WWW interface users can search for the desired datasets, view the metadata that describes the dataset, browse the data as graphical plots and images, and retrieve the data either by FTP or by removable media.

Unidata

Unidata's role in this project includes coordination and collaboration with COMET, NCAR/EOL/CDS, and NWS to broaden the usage of the COMET Case Study Library and to seek feedback from the NWS/SOO community and the Unidata university community. Unidata will also, as necessary, develop and support tools for converting data files between formats used by the analysis and display software typically available to SOOs and at universities.
