COMET Case Study 005, Lake Effect Snow, 4-5 January 1995, is available online for search, browse, and download.
Several data files in COMET Case 005 were missing data. In particular, the files with missing data were GEMPAK surface and upperair files from 5 and 6 January 1995 and only had data for 00Z and 01Z. We found complete data files for 5 January 1995 and replaced the bad files. You can use CODIAC to retreive the desired data by FTP, here are links to the affected datasets:

Each of the COMET Case Studies now has at least two datasets of sample imagery. Each dataset spans a period of interest in the case study and was made to give you an idea of what is happening and when. For most cases, one dataset is radar imagery and the second dataset is satellite imagery. To access these images, go to a Case Study Project page (for instance, Case 004), and then select " Sample Imagery".

The paper " Enhancing COMET Case Studies for Use in a Diverse Community" by Linda Miller, Ethan Davis, and Julie Adolphson was presented at the 13th International Conference on IIPS, AMS, Long Beach, CA.
The port of the CODIAC system from SunOS to Solaris has been completed. The computer on which CODIAC resides was upgraded from SunOS to Solaris and the single 40MHz processor was replaced by two 150MHz processors. So, though it may be hard to tell through the internet, CODIAC is going quite a bit faster than previously.
