Data Information Page from ArcticRIMS (http://RIMS.unh.edu) Title: SNOW WATER EQUIVALENT (Serreze, Barrett) Description: This data includes daily Snow Water Equivalent (SWE) values for July 1999 to June 2001, representing the most complete possible "picture" of SWE for the Arctic basin, derived from available SSM/I data during this period. Data were filtered with snow climatologies derived from NOAA weekly snow charts from 1996 to 2001 (the most complete record available), and are masked for pixels in the recently updated Arctic drainage basin that RIMS has released.
