DATA ORGANIZATION
Descriptions of the files on the ftp site are outlined below:

bathymetry.zip             Winzip file including Bathymetry 
                           in ESRI grid format, binary floating
                           point, and geotiff formats; Coastline
                           map in ArcInfo arc coverage and shapefile
                           formats; Depth soundings map in ArcInfo
                           point coverage and shapefile formats; all
                           include metadata files.

  bath_noaa.flt            Bathymetry grid; format is four 
  bath_noaa.flt.hdr        byte signed floating point file with 
  bath_noaa.flt.prj        header file and projection file.

  bath_noaa.tif            Bathymetry grid; format is TIFF 
  bath_noaa.tif.aux        file with xml and text metadata file.
  bath_noaa.tif.rrd        To be used for display purposes.
