This file contains University of Miami ACE-1 atmospheric sulfur dioxide data (de Bruyn and Saltzman). Measurements were made from the R\V Discoverer using a Fluorescence based HPLC system. The file consists of two columns, time in decimal Julian day (GMT) and SO2 concentrations in pptv. The data has be filtered for stack gas contamination using wind speed and direction and has been averaged into 30 minute bins. There are ~3 measurements per bin. Levels above 200pptv are either of volcanic (Hawaii, JDay 294-295) or anthropogenic (eg. JDay 330-330.5) origin. While the data is preliminary, we do not expect it to change significantly.
