3.0 DATA COLLECTION AND PROCESSING

NCAR/EOL conducted no processing or quality control on these data.

Sites are located primarily at university agricultural experimental farms and community
colleges across the state. Most sensors are polled automatically every 10 seconds and are
averaged by hour and day. Hourly and daily extremes and times of occurrence for some
variables are recorded as well. All data are downloaded to an ISWS computer once a day.

4.0 DATA FORMAT AND FILE NAMING

4.1 Data Format

The data are in comma delimited format. The parameters are defined in the first line of
each data file.

4.2 File Naming Conventions

station_name.txt
ID_yyyymm_yyyymm.txt

where
ID is the station ID from Section 2.2. and yyyymm are the begin_end dates for the data in the file
