- Source of RAMS input data--Doug Schuster, Colorado State University The data contained in the dated directories can be used to regurgitate RAMS model runs starting at the date and time listed in the directory name. (directory name = YYYYMMDDHHMM). Two subdirectories are contained within each dated directory. The data subdirectory contains ETA gridded pressure data in degribbed format. The files named dpYYYY-MM-DD-HHMM can be read by the rams ISAN package to generated varfiles for initialization and nudging of a model run. The RAMS subdirectory contains the actual varfiles which were generated for CASES99 forecast model runs along with the initialization RAMSIN, VTABLE, and collection table. Modifications can be made to the RAMSIN if the user desires a change in configuration for the model run. The file named machs is used for parallel computing operation, and will have to be modified by the user if performing a parallel run. email: schuster@atmos.colostate.edu phone: (970) 407-9672
