Data from the Ivotuk Site 1999-2000 Show, Shrubs, and Weather Group PI: Glen Liston This dataset contains two files, a data file and a .pdf image of the data. A snow-transport model (SnowTran-3D; Liston and Sturm 1998) was used to simulate the fall and winter snow evolution over the Ivotuk area for the winter of 1999-2000. The file "ivotuk.2000.snowdepth.dat" is the 2000 SnowTran-3D simulated end-of-winter snow-depth distribution. The model simulation for this year used an observed snow density of 257 kg m-3, and a total-winter snow-water-equivalent precipitation input of 0.210 m. The model integration spanned the period from 1 September 1999 through 21 May 2000. Snow depths are in meters. Liston, G. E., and M. Sturm, 1998: A snow-transport model for complex terrain. J.
