Readings were taken every 15 minutes averaged and recorded every hour except for Rain measures which were summed. Precipitation data is not valid for winter months and most likely underestimates true precipitation during the summer due to frequency of fine mists and strong winds. Light intensity recorded with the StowAway Light Intensity Loggers was recorded every 16 minutes and was averaged each hour. Light intensity data is of poor quality due to potential reflectivity from condensation over the recording device. Details off the precision and accuracy of each recording device can be obtained from the manufacture. Information on the equipment is provided below. The meaning of each character is defined at each position by stating the length of the identifier with a numeric and placing all the data codes used within parentheses directly after the numeric. For example: strYear - year of recording 4(1998-2001) The above example describes a column that represents the year the data was recorded, it is string data that is always four characters in length and the only data codes used are 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001.
