The original components of the UND radar were built by Enterprise Electronics Corporation (model: Weather Surveillance Radar - 1974 C-band: WSR-74C). It was acquired by the Department of Aviation in 1974 for the purpose of weather modification research and training. In 1993, the radar moved to the top of Clifford Hall at the west end of the UND campus. The radar has been operated in support of the research and academic programs of the Department of Atmospheric Sciences. 2.0 Data Contact Department of Atmospheric Sciences University of North Dakota Box 9006 | Grand Forks, ND 58202-9006 Phone: 701.777.2184 | Fax: 701.777.5032 3.0 File Naming Convention UND_[vol,sur]_yymmdd_hhmm.uf 4.0 Visualization Software 5.0 Decoding Sofware 6.0 Other Documentation For additional information please see: University of North Dakota Doppler Radar web site at: http://radar.atmos.und.edu/
