United States Precision Lightning Network (USPLN) Data https://data.eol.ucar.edu/dataset/100.017 Summary Lightning stroke data are collected in 1-hour reports which contain cloud-to-ground lightning stroke data and cloud flash discharges. The data are available in ASCII NAPLN extended data format. The reports have been combined into daily tar files. Access to this data set is limited to project Principal Investigators. To request access to this data, please contact us via the info at the bottom of this page. File 20161030_report.tar has been found to be corrupted. This file will remain hidden until the issue is resolved. Due to unexpected hardware failure some files were lost corresponding to days in year 2017. Specifically, data from the following days were lost: 01/09, 01/20, 02/06, 02/18, 02/20, 02/22, 02/24, 03/02, 03/09, 03/13, 03/16, 03/29, 04/16, 04/18, 04/25, 05/18, 05/19, 06/06, 06/09, 06/10, 06/11, 06/13, 06/14, 06/16.
