National Weather Service Radiosonde Data https://data.eol.ucar.edu/dataset/113.039 Summary This is one of the upper air data sets developed for the Profiling of Winter Storms (PLOWS) project. This data set includes 829 high vertical resolution (1-second) Radiosonde Replacement System (RRS) soundings from the seven National Weather Service (NWS) rawinsonde stations in the PLOWS 2008-2009 time period (1 February to 31 March 2009) and region (Aberdeen, SD; Davenport, IA; Green Bay, WI; Lincoln, IL; Chanhassen, MN; Omaha, NE; and Springfield, MO). Additionally, 109 high vertical resolution (6-second) MicroArt soundings from the Topeka, KS NWS rawinsonde station are included. For the 2009-2010 time period of 1 November 2009 through 11 March 2010, 2221 high vertical resolution (1-second) RRS soundings were collected. The soundings were typically released twice a day (0000 and 1200 UTC). The data are in EOL Sounding Composite format (columnar ascii).
