PLOWS: NSF/NCAR C-130 Dropsonde Data

Summary

During the second field phase of PLOWS (November 2009 to 10 March 2010) the NSF/NCAR C-130 aircraft released dropsondes over the north-central United States. Dropsondes were deployed ny NCAR/EOL during six research flights, of which 41 are included in this final quality controlled data set. These data are in a columnar ASCII format, the EOL sounding format.

    This dataset has been corrected for a temperature dependent dry bias and the filenames have been changed.

    This data was corrected for a temperature dependent relative humidity and dewpoint dry bias.  This version is the most current version of the data.
