Mobile Disdrometer Data https://data.eol.ucar.edu/dataset/114.120 Summary Most of the 2009 deployments took place around midnight UTC and the 2009 data are sorted per event. Because the disdrometer creates a new file at midnight, there are duplicate file names between some 2009 directories. BEWARE: Because there are duplicate file names between 2009 directories, it is important to maintain the original 2009 directory structure.This dataset contains Mobile Disdrometer Data collected during the VORTEX2 project between 15 May 2009 and 11 June 2009 and between 6 May 2010 and 13 June 2010. The 2009 data are in a single tar file which maintains the original directory structure. Each directory for the 2009 data has disdrometer data from disdrometer 1 (YYYYMMDD_PA01.txt) and disdrometer 2 (YYYYMMDD_PA02.txt) as well as surface observations (YYYYMMDD-POD_H.dat and (YYYYMMDD-POD_H.dat). The 2010 data are in individual files in ATM4 format and have mission summaries with maps of deployment locations.
