Microwave Temperature Profiler (MTP) derived aircraft-relative tropopose height [Haggerty (NCAR/EOL/RAF)] https://data.eol.ucar.edu/dataset/117.095 Summary These files indicate the position of the aircraft relative to the estimates of tropopause height taken from MTP data measured aboard the NSF/NCAR GV during HIPPO-1. The 1st column contains time in seconds past midnight UTC. The 2nd column gives the position of the aircraft relative to the tropopause: 1 = > 1 km below trop; 2 = < 1 km below trop; 3 = < 1 km above trop; 4 = > 1 km above trop; 5 = trop not determined.
