GTS PACS Region Land Meteorological Data

Summary

This data set contains all land-based surface meteorological observations available from GTS over the region from 30 N to 60 S latitude and 30 to 150 W longitude as collected by NCAR/SCD. It includes site identifier information, wind speed and direction, surface and sea level pressure, air temperature, and dew point depression. These data have undergone no quality control. See the README for more details. NOTE: Starting with the data in February 2001 and continuing through sometime in July of 2002 the wind observations at many of the stations are incorrect (about twice what they should be).
