TOGA COARE soundings from R/V Hakuho-Maru https://data.eol.ucar.edu/dataset/2.116 Summary This dataset consists sounding data from aboard the Research Vessel (R/V) Hakuho-Maru. The R/V was operated by the Ocean Research Institute, University of Tokyo. The R/V was in the TOGA-COARE domain during the period from 1 November to 4 December 1992. Soundings were taken up to eight times per day (00, 03, 06, 09, 12, 15, 18, and 21 UTC) during participation in the IOP. UCAR/JOSS conducted no quality control on these data. This dataset includes pressure, temperature, dew point, relative humidity, wind speed, wind direction, and altitude taken at two second vertical intervals. Refer to the station README file for details. NOTE: This dataset has been updated (5/2/2002) with corrected data for the humidity measurement errors of the Vaisala RS 80 radiosonde (Wang et al 2002).
