GCIP/ESOP-95 Radar: WSI NIDS VAD data

Summary
This dataset contains the Vertical Azimuth Display (VAD) wind profile WSR-88D
Level III data product archived from the WSI NIDS (NEXRAD Information
Dissemination Service) datastream for 7 radars in the GCIP/ESOP-95 domain. The
sites that were archived are KTWX, KDDC, KICT, KINX, KFTG, KSGF, KTLX, and
KVNX. A more comprehensive suite of Level III NIDS products were archived for
the VORTEX-95 program from 03/29/95 - 06/30/95. This dataset is described
seperately in the CODIAC system. Data are archived in the original WSI NIDS
format on exabyte tape. One week's data is contained on a single tape, as one
Unix "tar" file per day.
