Summary
This is one of the upper air data sets developed for the Dynamics of the
Madden-Julian Oscillation (DYNAMO) 2011-2012 project. This preliminary data
set includes 1411 high vertical resolution (2-sec) soundings from the
Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) C1 Momote, Manus Island site,
collected during the DYNAMO field campaign for 24 September 2011 through 31
March 2012. There are typically eight soundings per day at 00, 03, 06, 09, 12,
15, 18, and 21 UTC. These data were provided by ARM and had preliminarly
quality control by NCAR/EOL. This L3 version of the data set has a correction
by CSU -- see the readme for details. This station used Vaisala RS92-SGP
radiosondes with GPS windfinding during the DYNAMO field campaign.
