DYNAMO: R/V Baruna Jaya Radiosonde L3.1 Data

Summary

This dataset includes 58 high vertical resolution (2 sec) soundings from the R/V Baruna Jaya III collected during the DYNAMO field campaign for 2011. Soundings were typically released at 00, 06, 12 and 18 UTC from 5-18 December 2011. For most of these soundings R/V Baruna Jaya III was on station at 95E and 7S. These data were converted to the EOL Sounding Composite (ESC) format. The station used Vaisala RS92-SGPD radiosondes. The ground station software was Digicora III/MW31/ver3.61. These soundings were provided by JAMSTEC and had preliminarly quality control by NCAR/EOL. The L3 version of the data set had a daytime radiation dry bias correction applied by CSU. This L3.1 version of this data set has had an additional correction applied by JAMSTEC for deck heating effects.
