Downward and Forward-Looking Digital Camera Movies [NCAR/RAF] - Preliminary

Summary
During NOMADSS, the NSF/NCAR C-130 flew forward and downward looking digital
cameras for in-flight video capture. Individual JPEG photo images were
captured once per second during flights. Images taken after dark have been
stripped and the remaining images were converted to Quicktime (.MOV) and MPEG
(.MP4) movie files. The movies are H.264 and MPEG-4 codec playable with
Quicktime (Mac and Windows), Xine (Linux), Mplayer, or VLC (cross-platform).
The original images are 1024x768 pixels and were recorded at 1 frame/second.
The movies are set to play back at 512x384 pixels and 15 fps. These movies
display both camera angles together during each flight.
