Summary

This dataset contains Sferics Timing and Ranging Network (STARNET) long-range lightning detection data from the High Altitude Ice Crystals - High Ice Water Content (HAIC-HIWC) project that took place in Cayenne, French Guiana. The STARNET lightning detection network is run by the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil at the Laboratorio de Sensoriamento Remoto de Tempestades (STORM-T), Department of Atmospheric Sciences, IAG. The data files were processed by the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) Earth Observing Laboratory (EOL) and are in .kml (Google Earth) file format.
