Summary
This data set contains the mesoscale sector data from the GOES-16 Advanced
Baseline Imager data collected during the VORTEX-SE 2017 field season. These
data started on 23 March 2017. These include all mesoscale sectors taken
during VORTEX-SE, so some data are not in the VORTEX-SE area of interest. This
data set includes data from 16 spectral bands including two in the visible,
four in the near-infrared, and ten in the infrared. These data are in NetCDF
format.

  0.1: These data were collected when NOAA's GOES-16 satellite had not been
declared operational and these data are considered to be preliminary and
undergoing testing. Users receiving these data assume all risk related
to their use of GOES-16 data and NOAA and NCAR disclaims any and all

any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular
purpose.
