Summary

UW CIMS (Chemical Ionization Mass Spectrometer) HN03 Data collected from NSF/NCAR C-130 flights during the WE-CAN (Western Wildfire Experiment for Cloud Chemistry, Aerosol, Absorption and Nitrogen) field project from 24 July through 28 August 2018. This data set is in ICARTT format. Please see the header portion of the data files for details on instruments, parameters, quality assurance, quality control, contact information, and data set comments.

  • 0.1 (2018-11-19):

    RA: Preliminary field data.

  • 0.2 (2018-12-12):

    RB: Fixed a bug that caused estimated 0-40 percent discrepancies in concentrations of 9 of the 14 compounds reported in RA.

  • 0.3 (2018-12-20):

    R0: No substantial changes to data since RB with the exception of a time adjustment for RF01 (July 24, 2018). Variable names for all flights have been appended with "_UWCIMS".

  • 1.0 (2019-05-14):

    R1: several of the calibration factors and water vapor corrections have been updated.

  • 2.0 (2019-12-09):

    R2: HONO calibration has been updated. Detection limits were instituted as well (denoted as -8888).

  • 3.0 (2020-05-26):

    R3: C6H6O (phenol) calibration has been updated. Several other phenolic compounds are available upon request.
