CSU SCSMEX Sounding Data

Summary

This dataset contains sounding data collected during the South China Sea Monsoon Experiment (SCSMEX) in May and June of 1998. In all, there were 162 sounding sites with 23,042 soundings available during this period. High vertical resolution data is included from the R/V Kexue and R/V Shiyan 3 ship sites and GTS mandatory and significant level data is included from the remaining sites. Additionally, a FORTRAN program for reading the upper-air sounding data files is included. Please see the provided readme_SCSMEX file for more information.
