Zooplankton samples were collected from the United States Coast Guard Cutter (USCGC) Healy between 17 July 2002 and 24 August 2002 (cruise designation HLY0203). Sampling focused on seven sections over the shelf and slope regions in the northern and eastern Chukchi Sea and western Beaufort Sea and occasionally extended northward into the Canada Basin.
