These data are available to be used subject to the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research ("UCAR") terms and conditions.
NMC ran the Aviation model (T126) every 12 h (00, 12 UTC) with 12 h forecasts up to 48 h at a standard resolution of about 100 km. Standard fields are available at 18 levels from the surface to 100 mb (6 layers below 850 mb to pre- serve the PBL). the data cutoff was 2.75 h and the output format was the new GRIB. This new format began on 13 Feb. This output includes pressure, temperature, specific humidity, u and v wind components, and altitude among others.
