NSF C-130 Meteorology Dropsonde Profiles https://data.eol.ucar.edu/dataset/72.026 Summary The Aircraft C-130 Meteorology Dropsonde Profiles dataset is one of several archived by the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research/Joint Office for Science Support (UCAR/JOSS) in support of the Eastern Pacific Investigation of Climate (EPIC) project. The data was collected by NCAR ATD (aka EOL) and RAF. The dataset consists of 0.5 second vertical resolution profiles derived from dropsondes released from the National Science Foundation (NSF)/NCAR C-130 aircraft during EPIC. Dropsondes were released during aircraft flights on the following days: September 2001(3, 5, 7, 14, 16, 19, 23, 25, 28, and 29) and October 2001(2, 6, 9, and 10).
