These data are available to be used subject to the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research ("UCAR") terms and conditions.
This Dataset consists of rawinsonde data collected during the EPIC cruise of the NOAA Ship Ron Brown. Each datafile contains the ships location, the sonde's UTC release time, and a vertical profile of pressure, temperature, humidity, latitude and longitude, total wind speed and direction, and U and V wind components, every one seconds during the sonde's ascent. Consult the README for more information. Note:A new version of this dataset was provided by The University of Washington in September 2003. This version replaces the original dataset. The most significant difference between the new and old versions of the NOAA Ship Ron Brown Rawinsonde data is that the newer version contains corrected lat/lon positions.
