Surface Meteorological (1-minute) Multi-Network Composite [NCAR/EOL]
This data set contains one-minute resolution surface meteorological data in National Center for Atmospheric Research/Earth Observing Laboratory (NCAR/EOL) Quality Control (QC) format from stations within the following networks: Automated Surface Observing System (ASOS), Department of Energy (DOE) Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Southern Great Plains (SGP) Surface Meteorological System (SMOS) [ARMSFC], DOE Atmospheric Boundary Layer Experiments (ABLE) Automatic Weather Station (AWS), Iowa Environmental Mesonet (IEM) Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS), Iowa Environmental Mesonet (IEM) School Network, and the Louisiana Agriclimatic Information System (LAIS) observation stations. Data for the Bow Echo and Mesoscale Convective Vortex Experiment (BAMEX 2003) domain (30N to 48N latitude and 80W to 104W longitude) and time period (20 May 2003 through 6 July 2003) are contained within this dataset. This dataset contains data from 450 stations. WARNING: This dataset is large. Due to system limitations, orders should be limited to 2-3 days uncompressed data, or 4-5 days compressed data.
