UK BAE-146 Navigation, State Parameter, Microphysics, Aerosol, and Chemistry Data - 32 Hz https://data.eol.ucar.edu/dataset/87.017 Summary This data set contains state parameter, microphysics and navigation data from the BAE-146 aircraft during the RICO project. The data are all 32 Hz averaged with the main data files in NetCDF format, with filenames in the form: RICO_FAAM_yyyymmdd_R0_Bnnn-HIRATE.NC where yyyymmdd is the flight date, R0 is the release number of the dataset (zero, in this case) and Bnnn is our own flight nuymber designation (072 to 080 for RICO) Each file is accompanied by a text file, Bfff_HIRATE-DESCRIP which is an ascii text file giving details of the parameters included in the dataset and the data flagging scheme that we employ for quality control. Because of the way that data flags are employed, the NetCDF file contains for each parameter a further parameter which gives its flag values. Since we are still investigating the calibration of some instruments and systems (in particular the windfinding system), this current dataset should be regarded as preliminary. Subsequent versions will have the release number updated.
