HRD H*WIND Data https://data.eol.ucar.edu/dataset/88.075 Summary HRD wind analysis requires input of all available surface weather observations (e.g., ships, buoys, coastal platforms, surface aviation reports, reconnaissance aircraft data adjusted to surface, etc.). These data are downloaded on a regular schedule and processed to fit the analysis framework. This framwork is based on height (10 m), exposure (marine or open terrain over land, and averaging period (maximum sustained 1 minute wind speed). This framework is consistent with that used by the National Hurricane Center (NHC). This dataset contains data for 2005 hurricanes Dennis, Emily, Gert, Katrina, Ophelia, Rita and Wilma.
