NOAA G-IV Dropsonde Data (.esc format) https://data.eol.ucar.edu/dataset/88.203 Summary This is one of the upper air data sets developed for the Hurricane Rainband and Intensity Change Experiment (RAINEX). It includes 954 dropsondes from the NOAA G-IV N49RF aircraft. The data are 0.5 second vertical resolution. It includes dropsondes that occurred during Hurricanes Dennis (2005 Jul 6-9), Emily (2005 Jul 16-19), Katrina (2005 Aug 24-28), Ophelia (2005 Sept 8-15), Rita (2005 Sept 19-24), and Wilma (2005 Oct 18-24).
