readme.sodar    Readme file for IHOP MIPS Sodar data      (S.Paech)

The relevant sodar wind files are those of the format ECHYMMDD.CDF where:

ECH -> file name prefix
Y   -> single digit year
MM  -> month
DD  -> day

These files are in ascii format and are self-explanitary.  The data were
averaged over 15 minute periods with the ending time indicated.

If you are interested in data from each ping (moments files), refer to the
.MOM files.

This data has not been screened or quality controlled.

The directional Sodar data has NOT been adjusted to take into account the MIPS
orientation during each deployment.  Please refer to MIPS headings values in
ihoplog.txt - the MIPS heading simply needs to be added to directional data
to obtain the true direction.
