Arctic Bottom Pressure Recorder Data 2005 - 2007 NSF Grant OPP 0326109 "Ocean Pressure in the Arctic Derived from Satellite Gravity and In Situ Pressure" http://www.nsf.gov/awardsearch/showAward.do?AwardNumber=0326109 ABPR data consists of time, ocean bottom pressure, and temperature. This archive contains the records for Arctic Bottom Pressure Recorders #1 and #3 installed near the North Pole in April 2005 in about 4300 meters of water. The format of the tab-delimited ASCII data is specified in the header of each file. Files: ABPR_1.txt 89deg 15.26min North 060deg 21.58min East 2005-4-24/0400 UTC to 2007-4-26/2345 UTC, two years duration. ABPR_3.txt 89deg 14.85min North 148deg 07.54min East 2005-4-24/2045 UTC to 2006-10-6/2345 UTC, about 1.5 years duration. These data have been edited for obvious bad points and ABPR_3.txt has been edited for a rapid pressure jump of about 8.5 cm that we think was due to settling of the pressure gauge into the bottom. Other than that, these are essentially the original data as recovered by acoustic modem in April 2006 and April 2007. Although not formally part of the North Pole Environmental Observatory, this project gets logistical support from NPEO.
