TITLE
Preliminary Investigation of Paleoenvironment, Processes, and Carbon Stocks of 
Drained Thaw-Lake Basins, Arctic Coastal Plain, Alaska

DATA ORGANIZATION
The data files are named as follows: 

thawclass.txt and thawclass.xls: all the basins identified, their location, and 
their field and remote sensing classifications

thaw00.txt and thaw00.xls:  field data collected from the August 2000 field 
season, with site number, field classification, organic depths at a wet and dry 
site for each basin (and average), and active layer depths taken at the wet and 
dry sites (and average thaw depth).

C-14_thaw.txt and C-1_thaw.xls:  all radiocarbon dates taken thus far with basin 
identifications and depth of sample.

rawcore01.txt and rawcore01.xls:  field data collected on cores drilled in 
April, 2001.
