GTS Surface Observation Plots

   This dataset consists of GIF plots produced every 6 hours, showing all 
reporting hourly, synoptic and ship reports in the Indian Ocean
region. This data was collected at JOSS and may not contain data which was
removed from the US GTS feed. For example, the Maldivian met stations were
not available on the US feed during the INDOEX period. Only Male was
occasionally seen in this dataset. In addition the reliability of reporting
by each station is quite variable. The period of record for this data is 1/4/99-3/29/99.
