GCIP/EOP USDA/NRCS Soil Moisture/Soil Temperature (SM/ST) Network Data Set -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.0 General Information This data set was provided to UCAR/JOSS by Garry L. Schaefer at the United States Department of Agriculture/Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA/NRCS). Please see Section 4.0 below for contact information. 2.0 Quality Control Information These data are provisional and are subject to revision. These data were not quality controlled nor changed in any way by UCAR/JOSS. 3.0 Additional Information from UCAR/JOSS UCAR/JOSS collected data only from those states within the GCIP/EOP region (see Section 3.1 for site list). Not all sites were available for the entire period of UCAR/JOSS data collection. For data from states outside the GCIP/EOP region please see the contact information in Section 4.0 below. Also, please note that some of the very early data from this network did have some issues with data quality. Note that all times within the data files are in Pacific Time. 3.1 Station List NOTE: The Latitude is in deg min N and the Longitude is deg min W. The elevation is in feet. The Start of Record is the start during the GCIP/EOP periodr. If the start is 10/95, the actual data record typically actually began during 1994.
