---DATA SET OVERVIEW:
This dataset contains marine sediment chemistry from the Beaufort Sea. Sediment 
data for metals (As, Ba, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Hg, MethyHg, Mn, Ni, Pb, Sn, V, 
Zn) and organic substances (polycyclic hydrocarbons). Also included are 
sediment grain size data and total organic carbon (TOC) content. These data 
were collected from 01 July 1977 through 01 August 2003.

All metal and hydrocarbon concentrations are dry weight values. Concentrations 
of As, Ba, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb, Sn, V and Zn are ppm (µg/g). Methyl-Hg 
and total Hg are ppb (ng/g) values. Concentrations of Al, Fe, and Total 
Organic Carbon (TOC) are in percent (%). Sand, Silt, Clay and SiltClay 
(Silt+Clay) sediment fractions are also percent (%) values. Total PAH 
(TotalPAH) and all hydrocarbon components are ppb (ng/g) concentrations.
