TITLE: CoAgMet Network Data CONTACTS: Data Archive related: Scot Loehrer loehrer@ucar.edu Instrumentation and Processing related: johnk@atmos.colostate.edu 1.0 DATA SET OVERVIEW This data set contains hourly resolution surface meteorological data from the Colorado Agricultural Meteorological Network (CoAgMet). These 66 stations are located throughout the agricultural regions of Colorado. This data set covers the period from 1 May to 30 June 2012. These data were provided by the Colorado Climate Center at Colorado State University and are in a comma-delimited ASCII format. NCAR/EOL has conducted no processing or quality control on these data and they are provided as is. 2.0 INSTRUMENT DESCRIPTION 2.1 Instrumentation Full information on the CoAgMet instrumentation is available from the CoAgMet_Station_Instrumentation.htm file included with your order. 2.2 Station Locations Full information on the CoAgMet station locations is available from the CoAgMet_Station_Metadata.htm file included with your order. Note that not all stations in that file were available during the DC-3 project. 3.0 DATA COLLECTION AND PROCESSING No information is available on the processing conducted by NCWCD. These data were obtained by NCAR/EOL from the CoAgMet web site (http://ccc.atmos.colostate.edu/~coagmet) on 25 July 2012 at ~17 UTC. NCAR/EOL has conducted no processing or quality control on these data. They are provided as-is. 4.0 DATA FORMAT 4.1 Data Format These data are in a comma-delimited ASCII format. The parameters and units are as follows: 1. Station ID 2. Datetime (in the format YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS) 3. Mean Temperature (Celsius) 4. Relative Humidity (Fraction) 5. Vapor Pressure (kPa) 6. Solar Radiation (kJ/m^2 * min) 7. Mean Wind Speed (m/s) 8. Vector Average Wind Direction (in Degrees, 0 and 360 being north) 9. Standard Deviation of Wind Direction (Degrees) 10. Precipitation (millimeters) 11. Mean Soil Temp at 5cm (Celsius) 12. Mean Soil Temp at 15cm (Celsius) 13. Wind Gust (m/s) 14. Wind Gust Time (minutes into day) 15.
