Data description: Seward Peninsula Tree Ring Data The file contains standardized tree-ring chronologies from four treeline sites on the Seward Peninsula. The four sites are described in the metadata file (TR_META.CSV). The tree-ring chronologies were developed from white spruce (Picea glauca) trees growing at or near treeline on the Seward Peninsula. Individual ring-width series were measured to a precision of 0.001 mm. Series were fit with a line or negative exponential curve, and measured ring-widths were divided by the line/curve value to remove any series-length negative trend. These standardized series, which all have a mean of 1.0, were then averaged together to produce the chronology for each site. Column 1 in the data file contains the calendar year and Columns 2-5 contain the average standardized ring-width value at each site for each year.
