13 Oct 2016 The original data had the the sign reversed on the vertical velocity. This dataset has fixed this issue, with a positive vertical velocity associated with motion away from the lidar (i.e., updrafts). This makes the sign convention the same as the other PECAN Doppler lidar datasets ----- 26 October 2015 This directory contains the data collected by the Leosphere 200S Doppler lidar at the Hesston KS fixed PISA site (FP-6) during PECAN. The PIs of this site are Dr. John Hanesiak (University of Manitoba) and Dr. Dave Turner (NOAA/NSSL). The PI of this lidar is Dr. John Hanesiak. This directory contains the data collected by the lidar when it was vertically pointing. All data are directly from the lidar with the exception of the "cloud base height" field, which was derived using a simple threshold technique applied to the carrier-to-noise-ratio field. The dataset was uploaded on 26 October 2015. Contacts: John Hanesiak Dave Turner
