The Collaborative Lower Atmospheric Mobile Profiling System (CLAMPS) was deployed during the Plains Elevated Convection at Night (PECAN) field campaign as mobile PISA #1 (MP-1). As such, it moved around from night-to-night. Data collection typically started just before sunset. Because our standardized processing normally breaks up the netCDF files at 0z, it is possible that data from a particular IOP may be distributed over two different files. Note that the AERIoe retrievals are the only data files that extend 24z; these files can have hours up to 36z or more, but the reference time is 00z on the date in the filename. (In all cases, though, we highly recommend you use the base_time + time_offset fields in the netCDF files to get the right time.) Questions? Please contact Dave Turner, dave.turner@noaa.gov Petra Klein, pkklein@ou.edu These are the dates, approximate start times, approximate end times the IOP name, and the latitude / longitude of the CLAMPS facility. The dates/times are in UTC. The trailer orientation is how the trailer was situated relative to due north; this offset needs to be added to the wind direction in the MWRP files to get the right direction.
