CNRM icing indexes Author: Benoît Vié benoit.vie@meteo.fr Overview: This dataset includes two icing indexes computed at CNRM using outputs from Météo-France’s global forecast system ARPEGE. The current operational icing index is based on an empirical linear combination of temperature and humidity. The new icing index was built using an automatic algortihm, and is described in the attached document Cassas-2017-new-icing-index.pdf Data availability: 2019/01/28 – 2019/03/08 Model runs every 6 hours (0 / 6 / 12 / 18 UTC) For each run, 3-hourly outputs from 0h to 30h File names (forecast base time): YYYYMMDDHH.grb File format: GRIB File content: Operational icing index: Parameter number: 250 Name: Operational icing index Short name: oii New icing index: Parameter number: 251 Name: New icing index Short name: nii Levels: 400/450/500/550/600/650/700/750/800/850/900/925/950/1000 hPa Forecast steps: 0/3/6/9/12/15/18/21/24/27/30 h
