A summary list of Bio-Optical stations and locations from the two cruises are given in file Stn_List_Arc2002.txt. Detailed station information can be found in the individual station sheets. Station sheets and photos are listed by year, month, day, and order for that day. Matching fluorometrically measured surface chlorophyll for each station can be found in file Arc2002-1Chl.txt or Arc2002-2Chl.txt. Time period covered by the data Spring cruise (HLY-02-01) 8 May 2002 to 13 June 2002. Summer cruise (HLY-02-03) 18 July 2002 to 21 August 2002. Physical location of the measurement: See Stn_List_Arc2002.txt for summary list of station locations. Data is recorded at 6 Hz, and profiler is free fall configuration with a descent target of 1 m/s. 13 channels: 400, 412, 443, 490, 510, 519, 532, 555, 566, 619, 665, 683, and 700. http://www.satlantic.com http://www.ccpo.odu.edu/~orca/Instrmnts/satlantic.htm DATA COLLECTION and PROCESSING: The SPMR/SMSR in-water radiometric data was normally collected after the CTD - productivity cast, with-in 30min. The ship was orientated to the sun during SPMR/SMSR deployment to minimize ship shadow effects. The SPMR/SMSR data was processed with Satlantic’s ProSoft ver 6.3d. Data products include: Upwelling radiance Lu (uW/cm^2/nm/sr) profiled and surface data, Downwelling irradiance Ed (uW/cm^2/nm) profiled, and Downwelling surface irradiance Es (uW/cm^2/nm) data. DATA FORMAT: Data files are in SeaBASS format (ASCII) tab delimited with SeaBASS headers. The headers include parameters, units, time, location, and other Meta data. DATA REMARKS: Missing or questionable data was not included in the submitted data set or is noted in the header information of the file. ProSoft is available at www.satlantic.com
