ACE-Asia Aircraft Twin Otter DMA size distributions (Wang) Total Twin Otter scientific flights: 19 flight 5, 7-19: currently available flight 6: DMA not working flight 1-4: Different neutralizers were used, need more work on the data. The file names of DMA data are 'DMASD_' plus the flight date (MMDDYY) and Twin Otter flight number. Example: DMASD_041401_RF09.dat The data structure: 1st column: UTC time of DMA measurement 2nd column: Altitude during DMA measurement 3rd column: RH inside the DMA 4-33 columns: Size distributions (dN/dlog10Dp(cm-3)). The particle sizes (Dp) of each bin are listed in the 1st row (4-33 column) Example: UTC alt(m) RH(DMA)% 20.0 22.9 26.2 ... 873.8 1000.0 1.3319 14.8 15.4 1305.0 2133.7 3095.6 ... 41.0 3.9 . . . Note: (1)The UTC may be negative at the beginning of the file, which means previous day. (2)"NaN" was used when no data was available. (3)The really high concentrations at the beginning and the end of the flight are due to the contamination of airplane exhaust. The data of research flight 10, 11, 12, 14 should be reasonably accurate. No quality control has been done on other flights at this moment. I will update them soon.
