Description of NMC Analyzed Fields Collected During CEPEX Oct. 5, 1993 John del Corral, SIO These data were collected by the CEPEX experiment staff via ftp to NCAR's data archive on their MSS file system in the directory /LDM/YYMMDDHH/GRIB. The data was originally created by the Unidata LDM from the NPS satellite broadcast. The Analyzed Fields came from the NMC Global Products Set. This product set includes in each file, an analyzed field, followed by 9-10 forecast fields. Only the first time period in each file is considered an analyzed field. There are data files for 00Z and 12Z for each day. The variables collected were: Mean Sea Level Pressure, Relative Humidity, Temperature, Eastward Wind Component, Northward Wind Component. On April 2, 1993, the 00Z data was not available.
